Sneddon/Snaddon/Corps

Do any Sneddons/Snaddons recall a female relative that married William Corps in Yorkshire?

Her name was Janet Sneddon b 1877 Her father's marriage certificate shows the name as James Snaddon, he married Margaret Brown Nicholson b 1848 in Carriden church. Janet had several siblings. William a brother was killed in WWI in 1915

David married Mary Grant in 1901,James John married Maggie Grant 1926,

Margaret married Archie Cheney in 1914, Marion married John Robertson in 1900

John married Grace Thompson in 1910, Elizabeth married Johnstone Strathie in 1919

Agnes and mary married two brothers Hugh and Murdoch Ross 1911 and 1920

Douglas and Sandy visited Janet in early fifties and might recall meJimmy Corps I can be contacted on jimcorps1@live.co.uk. I regularly look on the Bo'ness site for news that might link our families

Do any Bo'ness/Carriden and district SNEDDONS/SNEDDENS/SNADDONS number any Gibson and Ross families (especially from Mull) in their family tree?   Call jimcorps1@live.co.uk  please

My Granny, spelled her name as Janet Sneddon. I have seen the name on some records as Snaddon. Who is right ? Or is it just two spellings of the same name?

Or are there Snaddons and Sneddons?

Jimmy I am currently trying to trace a family of Sneddon that my father talks about from Carriden. They were friends of his mother Jane Docherty who I believe lived at Castleloan. Do you think this might be the same Sneddon?

Have been researching into my Sneddon/Snaddon history and it appears that there are alot of families who will have members still living in the Bo'ness / Carriden districts   Would be nice to hear from a live Sneddon/Snafdon for a change  Recently bumped into an Ian Sneddon in Yorkshire whose father and grandfather (both James) hailed from Bo'ness His Dad had joined the Navy and on returning to land married in Yorkshire and so did not make it back to Bo'ness   Somebody will remember this family   jimcorps1@live.co.uk

Have discovered that there is another Sneddon branch in Yorkshire  Have not made contact as yet but would be awfully surprised if this did not trace back to Bo'ness   Any Bo'nessians recall Sneddons in Yorkshire?         Jimcorps1@live.co.uk
