Women's Suffrage Movement
I am currently working with a group in Falkirk entitled 'Votes for Women'. We are producing a booklet about the activities and campaigning work of local suffrage movements.
We have some press cuttings which informed us that regular meetings took place in the Bo'ness Masonic Temple during the years 1912-1914.
The organisations were the Women's Social and Political Union and/or National Union of Women's Suffrage Societies.
The only two names we have are Helen M Murray [daughter of Sir Robert Murray] who lived at Caer-edin and Miss Andrew from Carriden.
I have also been informed that Caer-edin was used for injured soldiers during WWI. We would be grateful for any information/photos etc.
