Bo'ness Community Council represents the views of the people of Bo'ness to Falkirk Council and other public bodies.

Community councillors are unpaid volunteers and discuss matters including planning, licensing, the environment and local services.

They meet in the upstairs room at Bo'ness Library, on the second Wednesday of each month at 7pm. All meetings are open to the public.

NEWS

Our next meeting on 13th August will be a joint one with Friends of Kinneil. Mike Ewart will be attending to update us on Kinneil Estate and other woodland areas in Bo'ness. It will be held in the large room above the Library and starts at 7pm. Please attend and made your views known.

This meeting will be followed by our normal monthly meeting in the small room.

On 13th February Mike Ewart from Central Scotland Forest Trust consulted with us and approx 55 members of the public about plans for the future of Kinneil Estate. An open discussion took place and some suggestions were made for improvements to the area. More consultations are to take place and it is hoped that, with funding grants, real improvements can be made to an area that is a great asset to our town and is well used by people of all ages.

At our meeting on 10th March we will be joined by Thomas Ross from Falkirk Council who will be discussing houses of multiple occupancy (HMO'S) in our area.

On April 9th Kate Kane will be talking about Community Planning which is going to be introduced in Bo'ness later this year.
