Attempted lead theft from Bo’ness dentist roof
An attempted lead theft from the roof of a Bo’ness dentist has cost thousands of pounds worth of damage.
The theft occurred sometime before Thursday, January 5 2012 on the roof above Long and Gilmour Dentists in North Mains Street.
A number of slates were removed and an attempt was made to dislodge and remove lead within a water channel on the roof.
This has caused extensive damage and will cost hundreds of pounds to repair.
Police say that it would have taken some time to cause such damage and are interested in speaking with anyone who witnessed this incident or has knowledge of anyone involved in the sale of stolen lead in the Bo'ness area.
