Bo'ness ease through after Junior Cup scare
28 September, 2012Bo’ness United survived a scare, coming from behind to reach the second round of the Scottish Junior Cup with a 5-2 home win over Whitletts Victoria.
The visitors took the lead in the second minute, before United’s Declan McAvoy levelled in eight minutes. Ten minutes after the break Whitletts were back in front, before Steven Hislop responded within a minute for United. Nicky Walker put Bo’ness in front just after the hour, before a Hislop penalty, and a header from Chris Hamilton sealed the win.

The draw for the second round of the Emirates Airlines-sponsored competition, with 128 teams in the hat, will take place on Sunday 30th September at 1pm, at the home of cup holders Shotts Bon Accord, with ties scheduled to be played on Saturday 20th October.
United are back in Super League action on Saturday 29th September when they host Camelon Juniors – kick off is at 2.30pm.
