Bo'ness Hippodrome to host Scotland's first silent film festival
17 JanuaryThe Bo’ness Hippodrome is to host a film festival about silent movies.
The festival is the first of its kind in Scotland and it's great that it’s coming to Bo’ness so we can all enjoy it.
It will feature films with stars including Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton and Laurel and Hardy.
There will be about 20 films in the festival which is called the Festival of Silent Cinema.
Shona Thomson, producer of the festival, said: “There is something very special about this. It seems to make perfect sense that this first festival is silent cinema.”
Our town’s cinema is the oldest in Scotland.
The festival runs from run from March 18 to March 20.
