The family of five-year-old Logan Fox have organised a dazzling fashion event to raise funds so they can adapt their home to his needs.
As s1bo'ness has reported before, Logan has diplegic cerebral palsy and cannot walk without support. Previous fundraisers have allowed the family to buy a specially-adapted car and have a stairlift fitted, but Logan is getting older and more improvements will soon be needed.
Tickets are now on sale for the latest fundraiser, Logie’s Crystal Ball, and Logan’s mum, Lianne Dale, was hoping the event would raise enough money to make life more comfortable for her little boy.
Lianne told s1bo’ness: “Logan’s always going to need things. We’ve got alterations we need to make to the house upstairs to make life easier for him when he’s older.
“We’ve had such a great response from people and local businesses with our fundraising. All the money we raise goes into a trust for Logan and we’ll use that to start the project next year.”
Lianne, who works at Chakir Hair in Linlithgow, told s1bo’ness she was looking forward to the latest event. She said: “There’s going to be a disco, a nice buffet and entertainer Gregor Gee will be pulling the night together and introducing the catwalk show.
“It’s going to be a fantastic night, with clothes from Debenhams and great raffle prizes. The models are all friends with the girls who work in the salon. There’s going to be a kids’ part where they can get wacky hair and clothes. I’m really looking forward to it.”
Logie Crystal Ball is on Saturday, September 29 from 7.30pm-1am at Richmond Park Hotel and includes fashion show, makeovers, live singers, buffet, raffle and more. Tickets are £20 and available from Chakir Hair, High Street, Linlithgow; contact 01506 671800.
