24/6/2008Eco-friendly pupils
St Mary's Primary has been awarded status as an environmentally-friendly school.
The school was awarded the coveted eco green flag, only given to schools which impress the Eco Schools Scotland assessors with their dedication to environmental issues.
This involves staff and pupils proving they have carried out a detailed environmental assessment of their school, and have made a real effort to tackle green issues by taking part in projects such as recycling.
