  • Take a tour of Kinneil House on Sunday 25th July

History lovers can get a free tour inside Kinneil House on Sunday 25th July.

The visit comes at the end of a free guided walk through the surrounding Kinneil Estate - which also boasts a Roman fortlet and medieval church.

Author and historian Ian Scott, from Falkirk Local History Society, will tour the parkland and tell visitors about Kinneil's fascinating history. Anyone interested just has to turn up on the day. Meet at Kinneil Museum at 1.30pm for a 1.45pm start on Sunday.

The event has been organised by the charity The Friends of Kinneil with the support of Historic Scotland.

A Friends spokesman said: "The walk should be suitable for all ages - although the tour inside the House involves a climb up stairs. Please wear sensible walking shoes and suitable clothing."
