19/6/2008Locals recognised for volunteer work
Kind-hearted locals were honoured for their dedication and hard work in the community at an awards bash recently.
The selfless people gained recognition at the Volunteer Centre Falkirk's recent annual awards bash, held in the Inchyra Grange Hotel in Polmont.
Heather Ramsay and James Hannah were presented with medals for their dedication to the 3rd Bo'ness Scouts, after giving up their spare time for three decades to help out with the group.
Others honoured at the awards ceremony included volunteers from the international project World Without Walls based in St Andrew's Parish Church, people from Open Door Bo'ness - a group which gives locals a place to go to meet others - and various volunteers from Barnado's Family Centre, which supports local families.
