Look to the past with Bo’ness and Kinneil Railway
Looking for something to do at the weekend? Look no further than the Bo’ness and Kinneil Railway!
Special tours of some of the most sought-after areas of the site will be available at the railway on Sunday, September 2.
You can go along and find out about the library of 4,000 books, a bundle of information about the history of Scottish railways and how one of central Scotland’s best visitor attractions has developed in the last 30 years.
Visitors to the Bo’ness and Kinneil Railway will receive a warm welcome from the volunteers of the Archives Department who are delighted to be able to take them through a journey in time.
Scottish Railway Preservation Society’s knowledgeable volunteers will lead groups from the booking office at 1.10pm, 2.15pm and 3.15pm. Rain or shine, these experiences are sure to open up a new side of the visitor attraction enabling a fascinating insight in to the work of its volunteers.
If you want to taste a little of the nostalgia or delve in to the past, why not take Afternoon Tea aboard the 2.05pm steam departure? Tables are subject to availability.
