Thousands enjoy Fair Day in the Bo'ness sunshine

The 'best day of the year' in Bo'ness was blessed with great weather this year, as the sun shone for the 2010 Children's Fair.

And once again Bo'ness people from far and wide returned to the town on a glorious day to celebrate 'the best day of the year' - the 102nd Bo'ness Children's Fair.

The Fair Day marked the culmination of another wonderful Fair week, with the town festooned with spectacular arches and decorations, and the crowning moment came when Georgia Sommerville was crowned as Bo'ness Fair Queen, watched by a crowd of thousands in front of the Town Hall.

After the crowning, and performances from local schools, the colourful parade, including bands from across the region wended its way through the town for an afternoon of entertainment in the park.

New Fair chairman Jim Stewart will be delighted with his first year in charge - especially as it was blessed with fine weather.
