Train parts stolen from Scottish Railway Preservation Bo’ness
Around £10, 000 worth of items have been stolen from the Scottish Railway Preservation Society (SRPS) in Bo’ness.
The 4 x brass axleboxes were taken sometime between beginning of December 2011 and the end of January 2012.
The parts, bought for the purpose of putting onto restored trains, were placed within an area of the SRPS and covered with a sheet as they were not yet required.
The axleboxes were 14" W x 6" D x 15" H, therefore would require at least two people to lift them.
Community officer, PC Lesley Hunter, said: “I am appealing for any information you may have regarding this crime.
