Bo'ness – or Borrowstounness – is a former port and industrial town on the south of the River Forth, two miles north of Linlithgow and eight miles east of Falkirk. The area is steeped in history – the Antonine Wall reached the Forth just east of Bo'ness, and there is a Roman fort on the Kinneil Estate, where James Watt worked on his steam engine. Trade from Holland and France and industries including salt–panning, mining, and ship-building made Bo'ness a wealthy burgh. Today Bo'ness is a proud community of around 14,250 people and s1boness.com has been developed to allow residents share their news, views and opinions, make announcements, publicise events and show off their photos and videos.
All our properties for sale and rent come from s1homes which has more than ten thousand Scottish properties to buy or rent. So make sure your local estate agent is using s1homes.
